“Magnificent sound and breadth of expression”, said the New York Times of Matan Porat, “a singular and confident voice” is how The Arts Desk summed up his Wigmore Hall debut.

Porat is equally celebrated as a soloist and collaborator as well as an explorer of the concert medium, programming and multi disciplinary performances.

Last season's highlights include replacing Sir András Schiff in seven concerts with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, performing his Bach Clavierübungen project to critical acclaim and a world premiere of his children’s opera “SchattenGold” at the Berlin Konzerthaus.
